Amy Makechnie is an American author who made her debut in 2018 with the release of The Unforgettable Guinevere St. Clair. Raised in the Midwest, Makechnie attended Brigham Young University and later worked at a prep school before settling in a small New Hampshire town with her husband and children. When not writing, she teaches anatomy and physiology. Makechnie's second book, Ten Thousand Tries, follows a 12-year-old soccer star whose father is dealing with ALS. Her stories explore themes of family, memory, and finding one's place in the world.
